Today Jason had his deviated septum repaired. He's been putting off this surgery for 15 years. It's miserable. The surgeon said that Jason's septum was so "s-shaped" that he couldn't believe he could breath through his nose at all.
Now he's home, medicated and sleeping.
Happy Memorial Day! We went up in the mountains and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. It was beautiful. We talked about our loved ones who have passed away and what we've learned from them. It was a good day.

We had the sister missionaries over tonight. They taught us a lesson about taking steps toward heaven, without skipping. They hadn't planned on Sawyer's jumping ability. He flew right over faith, repentance and baptism. :)
Our first day of summer. We're off to a good start.
Today was the kid's last day of school. They were excited, but there were some sad good-byes. Today was the last day that Shaylin and Sawyer will ever go to the same school. They've known that all year, and have been very grateful for this special time. They were a little sad today.
Skyler was not.
Sawyer had his Kindergarten Celebration this morning. Each of the kids read a short book that they had written about their favorite parts of kindergarten. Sawyer's included recess, lunch and computers. He was so brave and so so darling.
Shaylin graduated from elementary school today! These are her 5th grade teachers. She LOVES them. Her class had a very nice graduation ceremony this afternoon.
I made a slide show for the graduation. It was of her class from kindergarten to 5th grade. It took forever, but was totally worth it. It was precious.
I can't believe this girl is going into middle school!!! She's so ready.
Today was busy. Shaylin had her track and field meet at the middle school. The tug-o-war was her favorite event.
Sawyer's class had a field trip to the Anasazi Museum. His favorite part was playing "Predator and Prey".
Skyler's middle school had a field trip to the park. They launched catapults that they had built, ate lunch and had a huge water fight.
Macey had her last day of school. She wasn't too sad, because she'll return to that same preschool next fall.
I went back and forth between all of these events and took pictures and tried to be a fun mom. I'm so tired.
Today Sawyer's kindergarten class went on a field trip to the bowling alley and McDonalds. I've never seen bowling balls bounce that high. It was a riot.
Today was Hat Day at the elementary school.
It was also Track & Field Day for kindergarten through 3rd grade. The 4th and 5th graders planned, set up and ran all of the events. Sawyer loved Field Day. He said, " Today was my favorite day of school EVER." Shaylin came home exhausted. I think she has a lot more respect for her teachers now.
