Today I left Women's Conference, picked up Skyler, and then got to have lunch with
MY PARENTS!
They are in the Missionary Training Center for one more week before they fly out to Hong Kong, and were able to spend a few hours with us today.
It was so wonderful to see them happy and glowing. Maybe I'll stop pouting about them leaving now.

Today we went to Women's Conference! I had such a wonderful time filling my spiritual bucket and playing with these amazing women. I love them.
While I was playing and relaxing at Women's Conference, my poor husband was left with a very busy weekend. Today he helped Shaylin teach my After School Art class, then he took four kids to Shaylin's D.A.R.E. graduation. She was chosen to read her essay, and she did a great job.
I dropped Skyler off at his friend, Colten's, house last night. Colten's mom said that these two still laugh and play together like they did when they were little, only now their voices are much lower.
Today I got to go with Shaylin on her class field trip. We rode the Silverton Train up into the mountains. Then we hiked around, ate a picnic lunch and rode back home. I had so much fun talking, laughing and sipping all-you-can-drink hot chocolate with this sweet girl.
This was Mitchell's first 3D movie. He kept ducking and flinching as things flew out of the screen. We all watched him much more than the movie.
Macey loves bandaids. Every little scratch gets one. She's usually covered in them. When we go out of town, she packs bandaids in her suitcase.
Today my sweet parents gave their mission farewell talks in church. They were probably the two best talks I've ever heard in church. These two are so amazing.
This afternoon we played with our relatives. Here are the tweens, the little girls, all the cousins and the newly set apart missionaries.
My parents will leave on their mission tomorrow morning, so tonight we had to say our good-byes. I tried to be brave and dignified. I failed. I cried like a little girl. I don't know how I'll survive without them close.
Missions require a lot of faith and sacrifice. But I know that our family with be blessed for their selfless service. I love you, Mom and Dad!
The Easter bunny came last night. He hid everyone's baskets in HARD spots (up in a pine tree, inside the underground sprinkler box, inside a huge fake rock). It took the kids a long time to find them.
Then the hunt for eggs and candy began. Mitchell thought he'd died and gone to heaven. There was candy everywhere and he could reach it. He was a happy kid.
It was a fun hunt. Shaylin even found a deer antler stuck in one of our trees.
After the hunt, we loaded up in the car and drove to my parent's to spend the weekend with my whole family. Fun!!
We dyed Easter eggs today. We get some fun colors when we dye brown eggs.
Mitchell didn't get it.
My elementary school kids didn't have school today (parent teacher conferences) so we played at the park. It's so nice to see the sun again.
