Today my dad performed his last surgery. About this surgery, my mom wrote, "Today was Doctor Heiner's last day of surgery. Twenty-nine years of caring for the bones and joints of thousands of patients. Twenty-nine years of caring for the hearts and souls of people who hurt. In 8 weeks he will turn his skills to the care and keeping of the missionaries in the Asia Area. He'll take good care of God's Army."
I would add, twenty-nine years of teaching his children, by example, to be grateful for every opportunity to work hard, to provide for your family and to serve others.
I could not be more proud. I love you Dad.
