September 30

One of the best things about being a 5th grader is getting to serve lunch.  It comes with free seconds and a lot of prestige. :)   This was Shaylin's week, and she's loving it.

September 29

Little Macey turned 4 today.  We had M-shaped pancakes this morning for breakfast, then she opened her presents.  

She finally got her own DS.  She's so excited.  Now maybe I'll get mine back.  

At school, she got to have a Birthday Spotlight.  She told her class a story about her life.  It was pretty adorable.  

For her birthday, she chose to go to McDonald's and to a movie with her family.  It was a sweet day for a sweet girl.

Sawyer is playing soccer again.  He loves it, and he sure has cute fans.

I get to volunteer at Macey's school twice a month.  I even get to eat lunch with her.  It's my favorite lunch date in the world.

We had s'mores for dessert tonight - roasted over our rarely-used fire pit.  It's good to be back together as a family today.  I missed these cute kids...

especially this one.

While we partied in Powell, Jason's sweet parents took care of our kids.  They took them to the park, a hot air balloon festival and McDonalds.  The kids didn't miss us at all.  

Grammy and Grandpa also brought Macey her birthday present.  She kind of likes it.

September 23

Today we're partying at our Adults Only Lake Powell Trip!  We're having so much fun - reading, napping, talking, swimming, skiing and watching PG-13 movies.  No kids!

Shaylin gave her campaign speech today.  She was adorable.  Notice the illustrations and the cape.  Adorable.  She did great, and SHE WON!  She'll make a "super" secretary.  :)

Skyler got his school picture back.  It's cute.  It's hard to tell here because Shaylin taped a mustache on it.  Hee hee.
