March 31

We took a little trip to Durango.  Today we shopped, went to the park and swam at our hotel.  It's so nice to get away, even for a few days.

P.S.  Jason is incapable of smiling like a normal person for pictures.  

March 30

We're working on projects this week.  Jason is painting his office.  It looks good.

And we're finishing Skyler's room.  We finally painted his 20 FOOT HIGH ceiling and put glow-in-the-dark stars and planets on it.  Then we rearranged his furniture so that he's ready to share the other half of his room with the new baby.  Now we just have to build a wall.

March 29

We went to How to Train Your Dragon today.  Loved it. Afterwards, we bought Sawyer some new pajamas with one of the dragons on it. 

Tonight I found his pajama shirt outside his door.  Sawyer told me, "I feel a little scared of that shirt.  I'm going to keep it in the hall tonight.  Maybe tomorrow I'll let it in my room."

Cute.

March 28

Today Macey gave her first talk in primary.  Shaylin wrote the whole thing.  It involved puppets, a moving story and a good lesson about following the prophet. 

Jason and I just sat in the back and watched - proud as peacocks.

March 27

Macey inherited an old bunk bed.  She's very excited.  She spends most of the day up there playing.  Today she told us, "Now there are FOUR places to sleep in my room - the top bunk, the bottom bunk, the floor and under the bed!"  She's alternating between all four spots.

HAPPY SPRING BREAK!   

We don't have any big plans, but here is hard evidence that we're in the partying mood.  The TV is in the kitchen!  I think we'll leave it there all week.  We're crazy.

Tonight was our Relief Society birthday dinner and program.  It was lovely.  I looked around at all the amazing women in the room, and my eyes filled up with tears.  Sisterhood is powerful stuff.

They LOVE the computer games at the library.  So much more than their computer games at home.  I don't know why.  Maybe it's those stylish headphones. 

 

March 23

Tonight was the middle school band concert.  Skyler was adorable.  Look how serious he is.  He wanted to do a good job.  

He's really lucky - music comes easily to him.  Those genes come only from his dad.

March 22

 

It was warm today.  Yay!  So we went to the park for Family Night.  

While our 3 intelligent children played at the park, Skyler spent an hour and a half trying to catch a duck.  Jason and I haven't laughed that hard for a long time.
