Just thought I'd document what a crappy mom I am.
This is us at the end of two hours of Stake Conference. Macey had HAD IT. With 15 minutes to go, I turned to Skyler and said, "Can you please just play a movie for her on your ipod?!?"
Look how reverent she's being now.
Jason's parents came to visit us this weekend. Grammy had a new iphone that she didn't know how to work. Skyler spent hours tutoring her. He was in heaven.
Do you ever wonder what your kids would be like if they had different siblings. This is my sweet little girl stomping around the house pretending to be Optimus Prime (the leader of the Transformers). She got these legs off of a pinata, by the way. What a nut.
Sawyer gave Jason a birthday card that said, "I will bring in the garbage cans every week for one year. Happy birthday Dad!"
Today he skipped outside and dragged them both in without being asked. He LOVES hard physical labor, and he loves to make his dad smile.
He's still home sick from school (because he has an ear infection) but I think he's feeling better.
This was our conversation today:
"MOM, turn off the sun! It's in my eyes!!!"
"Macey, I can't. Only Jesus can turn off the sun."
"Well, call Him and tell Him it's bugging me. I can't see my show! Hurry, Mom!!"
Home sick today. This is how we can tell that he's really sick. He's holding still.
We made sugar cookies and decorated them. These are a few that my brother made. At least they tasted good.
Happy birthday Jason! (I couldn't decide which ice cream cake to get.)
The kids all bought Jason gifts with their own money this year. Macey bought him a Reese PB cup. Sawyer bought him a transformer pinata. Shaylin bought him a gift certificate to Subway (where he eats lunch). And Skyler spent EIGHT hours making him a DVD. (See below.) It's darling.
It was a very sweet birthday. We love this man.
My little brother and his friends came to stay with us this weekend. They're fun. This is them teaching my kids a very elaborate ninja fighting game. Good role models.
